Safety in the studio
Torches, pickle and rotary tools are in use. Safety glasses are required at the bench, closed-toe shoes and tied-back hair always. I will stop a class rather than rush a step that is not safe.
The fine print
Studio policies
Short, plain and honest. If something here does not fit your situation, ask — it is one person making these calls.
Ages
Students 16 and up can take any class on their own. Ages 12–15 are welcome with an adult who is also enrolled.
Conduct
This is a small room with sharp tools and beginners in it. Racism, harassment and dangerous behavior end your day here without a refund. Everyone else gets patience.
Photography
Photograph your own hands and your own work freely. I sometimes photograph classes for Instagram and will always ask before you appear in a shot.
Privacy
Your email is used to confirm bookings and, if you opt in, to announce new pieces and dates. Nothing is sold or shared, and one click unsubscribes you.
Payments
Card payments are handled by a third-party processor; card numbers never touch this site or the studio. Order records are kept only as long as tax rules require.
Accessibility
The studio entrance is street level with one shallow step and benches can be raised or lowered. Tell me what you need ahead of time and I will set the room up for it.
Materials & sourcing
Silver is recycled where I can get it. Stones come from small US dealers I have bought from for years, and I will tell you where any given stone came from.
