Create Your Own Jewelry
Spend a few creative hours in the studio learning how to make a piece of jewelry by hand. I'll guide you through each step, from using the tools safely to adding the finishing touches.
A relaxed, hands-on workshop
Workshops are limited to six participants, creating a welcoming atmosphere with plenty of time for individual guidance. There's no experience necessary, so just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm.
Practice, Practice
Before creating your final piece, you'll make a copper or brass ring to become familiar with the tools and techniques. We'll also cover fire safety so you feel confident and comfortable at the bench.
What's included
All tools and safety equipment are provided, along with:
- One 10mm round Indian agate cabochon in your choice of color for a handmade pendant or ring
- Two 8mm round Indian agate cabochons for handmade earrings
- Sterling silver needed to create the included pieces
A variety of additional stone sizes are available for an extra cost. Any additional sterling silver needed for a larger design is included in that cost.
Take home something you made
With step by step guidance and plenty of time to practice, you'll leave with your own handmade jewelry and new skills to build on.
Make yourself comfortable
I'll provide a sweet treat and a bottle of water, but you're welcome to bring a snack or drink of your choice to enjoy while you create.
I look forward to working with you!

Build Your Skills

Ready to build on what you've learned? Spend a creative day at the bench exploring more detailed designs, strengthening your skills, and creating a piece that feels uniquely yours.
A relaxed, hands-on workshop
With no more than six participants, you'll have plenty of time for individual guidance, questions, and collaborative problem-solving as your ideas take shape.
More room to create
Explore designs with additional steps and detail while building confidence in soldering, stone setting, and finishing. You'll have more freedom to develop your design, with support throughout the process.
What's included
All tools, safety equipment, and project materials are provided. You're also welcome to bring your own cabochons from home, and we can explore how they might work best in your design.
Additional silver and stones are available for an extra cost.
Is this class right for you?
This workshop is designed for participants who have completed the beginner class or have similar metalsmithing experience. You don't need to have everything mastered, just a basic familiarity with the tools and a willingness to keep learning!
Take home something you're proud of
You'll work toward completing your own handmade jewelry while developing skills you can carry into your next project.
